If you’re trekking with others in your group a great idea is to split the load of carrying medical and personal items among several packs. You should keep the weight of your backpack to an absolute minimum and 12kg is the recommended maximum weight you should carry. Your allocated group porter will carry up to 8kg of your gear and we recommend hiring a personal porter to carry your backpack for you if you think you may have problems carrying your backpack for the entire trek.
Kokoda Trail Expeditions provides: A two-men dome tent for each trekker and this is carried by your group porter.
After booking your trek Kokoda Trail Expeditions will provide a more detailed packing/gear list. For more information or if you have any questions please contact one of our Kokoda Trail specialists at 043 848 3789 or info@kokodatrailexpeditions.com.au.
